polska kielbasa with salsa...

Once upon a time, I remember writing in here about never using Polish. If my memory and my archives serve me right it was during the cast list in the paragraph about Miss Linguist. I had said that you didn't need to know Polish. Well guess what kids, I am learning it.

The main reason for learning this third language is that I was bored this summer. Instead of letting this brain go to hell on handlebars, I thought I would put my time to go use and learn. Yes I tend to be a learning fiend. But there are more unhealthy ways of being a fiend I find and so this is safe. Just be happy I am finding something to take me away from this insanity that is staying in the house.

I had to borrow a book with tapes from the library. Which means in three weeks I will have to bring it back to the library without learning what I feel is vital. So I have taken to copying the words and phrases into my Spanish notebook from last year. This way I will always have the words with the pronunciatio and actual spelling.

(Lambs, I have no idea why I picked Polish besides the fact that Miss Linguist and I had a debate over the real word for potato. Which is not bumbadee as she thought. It is actually ziemniaki.)

So now when I do take over the world, or at least Europe, I can speak to my people in at least two languages. Miss Linguist can speak the French. And if I am still associating with my father I will certainly have him speak the German. Demonic you say? Of course! Who knows how bored I will get next summer before I head off to college. Don't be afraid. You'll all be saved.[you know I am kidding right? good lord don't run away so fast...I'll never be able to catch up]

This has been your multilingual diarist. Livin' la vida polska.
